Black Enterprise Magazine Highlights OSDBU’s ARRA Bonding Assistance Program

In their October issue, Black Enterprise Magazine highlights the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization’s (OSDBU) new Disadvantaged Business Enterprise American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Bonding Assistance (DBE ARRA BAP) Reimbursable Fee Program. “President Obama and the Department of Transportation Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood recognize that small businesses are really the central part of this economy and it’s about helping as many as possible get off the ground,” says Brandon Neal, Director, OSDBU.

Black Enterprise devotes several pages to the US Department of Transportation, including the ARRA and how small businesses can contract with DOT. This article also features great tools to assist small business owners on how to become certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and more importantly, how to use OSDBU resources to assist them throughout the procurement process.
